   well the basic is mastering visual C++ and various other branches on C for designing games.

   Any high-level lanugage is good, it doesn’t matter. C++ is the most common language and is used the most commonly used language for game programming, which makes it easy for finding help with other game programmers and modifying open source games.

   But it’s not like you’ll be able to burn them to a disk and play them on your Xbox or PS3.

   i believe you should start at a video game school. that way they can teach you what language is most useful for the games you would like to create.
