Catch a fish, seahorse and more with this Magnetic Fishing Game. Game includes a special piece that magnetically captures the wood puzzle pieces on the game boards. This interactive game is great for developing dexterity and improving hand-eye coordination, visual perception and fine motor skills. The 9″ x 12″ board has 10 removable pieces.A plywood puzzle with a difference: the idea is to get the pieces out after you put them in. The 11.75-inch by 8.50-inch aquatic scene (mainly in blues, oranges, and browns) includes such pieces as a sea horse, various fish, a crab, and a starfish. Though the pieces are wood, each has a metal “button” in the middle; attach a magnet to a line and practice “fishing” them out before reconstructing the puzzle. (For an especially interesting challenge, try “fishing” them back in.) –Richard Farr

I was a little concerned about purchasing a game with realistic pictures of fish for my four year old girl who loves dress-up dolls, the color pink, and anything with the word “princess” in it. She loves it! She talks to the fish just like she does her dolls, picks them up with the magnetic fishing rod, and then “puts them to bed” or “home” by returning the fish to their proper place in the puzzle. I’ve been pleased with the quality of every toy I’ve bought from this manufacturer, and now look for them when shopping online or at the store.

My kids love this toy and I have to admit it helps with motor skills and matching sizes and shapes. The thing that is making my hair turn gray is that the rod has a string from which dangles the magnet. Not a problem if your household doesn’t have a child who constantly whirls the string around like a helicopter, making the magnet fly. I spend so much time worrying about the kids’ eyes that I tend to hide the toy so they’ll forget about it. If you have a calm, gentle child who is good about listening, go for it. This is great. Otherwise, you might want to look for something safer.

My almost-3-year-old son loves puzzles and loves fish, so this one was a no-brainer. I am impressed with the game’s quality. And with a little imagination, it offers lots of educational fun: counting, colors, size comparisons, etc. I found a taller cardboard box and put the pieces magnet-up inside, then sent my son fishing for them. He thought the suprise of which on he’d get was great fun. After catching each, he would decide whether to “throw ‘em back” (put back in the puzzle board or in the box) or “cook ‘em”!

My two year old loves this puzzle. We stumbled upon it in an activity center of a museum. There are good sized magnets on each piece and the object is to use the fishing rod to catch a fish. Later the pieces can be put into their slots by hand. This aids in hand-eye coordination and is fun!As with all wooden puzzles made by Lights, Camera, Interaction! this is very durable and sturdy. The printing is high quality.A great gift for any holiday!

My two year old is just fascinated by puzzles and just got this one as a gift. He really likes putting the pieces in there respective slots and then “fishing” them out with the magnetic pole. (It’s a little more exciting than your standard puzzle.) Very well made, as wooden puzzles last forever – if you can find all of the pieces!!! Grrrrr!

I’ve been looking forward to this game since its announcement. I still play the orginal bass fishing and sega marine fishing on the Dreamcast because they are so much fun.
This version has better graphics (not drastically better, but they do look cleaner and brighter) more ambient sounds effects, tons of new locations and nature trip mode. Nature mode is a more realistic and relaxing way to play and there is no music and it takes longer to get a fish to bite.
The Wii controls are great…you cast with the Wiimote and reel using the nunchuck. The wiimote even makes a winding sound as you reel a fish in. You can also use the wiimote to control the height of the rod onscreen.
The game does have a few faults that have carried over from the original dreamcast version. Namely the fact that your fishing line goes through objects underwater and the fish can have some jittery animations if they stuck near a rock or something.
Overall its a fun game that anyone can play for only $30.00.

This was a spur of the moment purchase. My finance and I had stopped into our local game store, and the employees were playing!! I couldn’t seem to take my eyes off the game, and when they hooked a 12 lber ….. I was HOOKED!!! Unfortunatly for the employees, this was the only copy in the store, and I scarfed it up right away. I’m a casual fisher(women), and love the thrill of hooking a big one. This game doesn’t disappoint. It did take me a couple days to figure out which lures to use, and when, but since then…..I’ve been winning the tours!!! GREAT buy for anyone who likes or loves fishing. GREAT graphics!!!!

Sega Bass Fishing for the Nintendo Wii is a remake of the classic Dreamcast and Arcade fishing game. As fishing games aren’t very popular, why in the world would I rate this one so highly? Because it’s fun.
There’s not a ton of realism in this game, bogging it down. It’s arcade fun as only Sega can do, with heavy metal guitar riffs playing as you catch a big bass to the ticking timer influencing which bait you use next.
The game does have its flaws, however, with slightly unresponsive motion controls, but it doesn’t detract from the fun. If you’ve ever wanted to try a fishing game, this is the one to get.

i got this game after playing wii hooked for 2 months and wish i wouldve gotten this one first. at some points its really easy but still fun. you still have to figure out what lure to use with what condition. some say this game is too easy but i think you still have to have some skill to do good. its not like wii hooked where you get a big one to bite and 2 seconds later the line breaks. i would recommend this game to anyone that wants to have fun and be rewarded for it.

I bought this as a gift for Father’s Day for my husband. He LOVES it! The graphics are quite nice, especially the underwater shots. You can choose your own lures, and places to fish, there are tournaments, etc. I often come home and find him “fishing”. It is highly recommended compared to another brand we bought earlier and that is gathering dust.
