Question by thebigteebone: Do deep sea fishing charters offer fish processing service?
I am sure this is not one of those across the board questions, but does anyone know if this is something that is average amongst the deep sea fishing tour services in Panama City Beach? I want to go deep sea fishing, but I will be on vacation and I don’t have much experience filleting large fish.

Us ally, after the boat comes back there will be people that will clean the fish for a small fee.

  1. the one i went on it all was in the deal and they even had a hell of good lunch

  2. I’m sure they do. You usually get off the boat, and then one of the deckhands calls out the tag on the stringer and if it is yours you go get it. Then you can go wait in line on the dock and the deckhands will clean your fish. Be aware that it is not free. Where I go it has ended up costing a pretty penny because inconsiderate people don’t tip the deckhands, so they started charging per pound.

  3. We use the Jubilee charter off of the Treasure Island Marina and their deck hands will clean fish for you for tips once you are back in the marina. They will fillet it to your preference, or just clean them if that’s what you want. There’s also a fish market/shop there at the marina that will clean them for a fee (I believe based on the pounds of fish cleaned). We just let the guys on the boat do it. They’ve always done a great job!
