Computer hacking is illegal (invasion of privacy). It accesses other people’s files. Nevertheless, I am sure that there are some courses… O.o

computer hacking is when a person finds a way to log onto others computers from theirs and get their codes , etc to things only that person knows.
Computer hacking means taking software or hardware and finding ways to use it that were not designed or anticipated.
Others have confused “hacking” with “cracking.” “Cracking” is maliciously attempting to exploit vulnerabilities in hardware or software owned by other people for the purpose of causing damage to another person’t property.
Hacking is not illegal, provided you hack what you own and do not violate any software / hardware licensing agreements; cracking is illegal.
Most people hack software and hardware simply by using it and applying input to it that may not have been expected. For example, a common hack for a Tivo recorder is replacing the hard drive that came with it with a larger hard drive, so you can expand the recording time available.
What you probably mean is you want to find out how to exploit software. That’s something you learn how to do on your own after learning a great deal about how computer programs work. And again, if your intent is to steal content, deface a Web site, etc., you’re cracking, not hacking.
Hacking is good, healthy and benefits society. Only scumbags crack.
A hacker is a person who creates and modifies computer software and computer hardware, including computer programming, administration, and security-related items.
In computer programming, a hacker is a programmer who hacks or reaches a goal by employing a series of modifications to exploit or extend existing code or resources. For some, hacker has a negative connotation and refers to a person who “hacks” or uses kludges to accomplish programming tasks that are ugly, inelegant, and inefficient. The negative form of the noun “hack” is even used among users of the positive sense of “hacker”.
In computer security, a hacker is a person able to exploit a system or gain unauthorized access through skill and tactics. This usually refers to a black hat hacker. There are also white hats (ethical hackers), and grey hats. (See: Hacker (computer security)). Script kiddies are often black hat hackers who claim to have far more skill than they actually have, instead using programs developed by others to achieve a sucessful exploit.
In other technical fields, hacker is extended to mean a person who makes things work beyond perceived limits through their own technical skill, such as a hardware hacker, or reality hacker.
In hacker culture, a hacker is a person who has attained an certain social status and is recognized among members of the culture for commitment to the culture’s values and a certain amount of technical knowledge.
You can read books and learn how to hack………
)
well maybe protect your Pc from hacks………
Don’t go to the EVIL SIDE !!!!!
basically two types of computer hacking
the one that trys to get into other peoples/companies computers to obtain information for illegal use or just to create general havoc or mayhem
or the other – which I prefer
This is when you hack into you own system – hacking you system registry where you can tweak your windows to do things that i would not usually do – also messing around with saved game files – i.e grand theft auto – importing other cars from other games – so that you have different cars to play with.
it is better to hack your own system rather than anyone else’s
REASON – if you try to hack someone else’s system you WILL end up hacking into a system that will track you – then you would be in trouble
or
find someone who has a greater knowledge than you and then hack your system
hope this helps
Hacking was a term for very clever non intuitive solutions to computer/electronic problems. Hackers could hack into a software system to make it to do something new, or something cool. Hacking was an ethical activity -to be proud of- until early 80s. Hackers were rare.
The term, changed meaning, when the media started using it to refer to malicious and non-ethical “cracking”, for example, to disrupt the services of a company. Many terms started to appear as subcategories of the word hacker. So, “phreakers” are the hackers of the telephone network, “crackers” the ones that break the protection of software, “pirates” the ones that make money out of selling illegally copied software.
As security systems are much tougher to break nowadays, hackers (that have the knowledge to invent methods to hack) are ever rarer. The problem is that some, release their hacks to thousands of followers. And hacking has become an activity that any 10 y.o. computer ignorant child can easily perform – albeit sometimes with serious consequences.
Hacking (as cracking) is highly illegal and punishments are very tough.
Rather than hacking, I suggest you pick up something more productive like programming. True hackers (the ones that find the security holes – not the ones that merely read a how-to guide) could have been so much more useful if they were applying themselves to the tough problems that the field of software engineering is still plagued with.
Many hackers/crackers/phreakers realize that their knowledge can be utilized in better ways for themselves and for humanity, and many, have established their own security companies protecting their clients from other hackers.
Also, most of the countries, have in their military well trained hackers that spy on other countries.
You can easily find how-tos guides for a million of nasty things to do. It will probably get you in jail (or give massive legal trouble to your parents)
Instead, I suggest you start learning programming.
